The Sunflower Award honors non‑nursing Mission Partners who go above and beyond to provide exceptional service and compassionate care to patients, families and fellow Mission Partners.
Jared’s dedication, kindness and commitment to those he serves exemplify the spirit of this recognition.
“The Sunflower Award recognizes care team members outside of nursing who make a meaningful difference through the care they provide, and Jared is truly deserving,” said Heather Bomstad, president at OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center. “His compassion, encouragement and expertise have a lasting impact on our patients.”
Jared was nominated by patients who shared how his care made a difference during their recovery.
“Jared has been so very helpful with my physical therapy sessions. He is knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging. He truly is the best physical therapist I have ever had.”
Another nomination shared, “After an unexpected spine surgery that resulted in nerve damage, I was feeling discouraged and unsure about my recovery. From my very first physical therapy session, Jared gave me hope. He patiently answered my questions and taught me exercises to continue building strength at home. I am grateful for the excellent care I received. OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center is so lucky to have him.”
Jared has been a Mission Partner with OSF HealthCare for almost 17 years and lives in Mendota.
