The recipient of the 44th Annual Conkey Family Award was announced on Monday, May 12, at OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center as part of National Health Care Week. This year’s honoree is Marisa Kibble, a dedicated senior financial analyst.
A Mission Partner for nearly 20 years, Marisa lives in rural Dixon and was nominated by a colleague for her compassion, quiet leadership, and perseverance. Her impact extends far beyond her professional responsibilities. Since 2019, when she accepted responsibility for the OSF Saint Paul Community Garden, Marisa has led every aspect of its success, coordinating volunteers, planting, weeding, harvesting, cleaning, and delivering produce, often outside of work hours, all while continuing to fulfill her job duties and care for her family.
Under her leadership, the garden now yields more than 1,000 pounds of fresh produce each season, all of which is donated to the local food pantry to support individuals and families facing food insecurity.
The Conkey Family Award was established to honor Mission Partners whose actions reflect the values of the OSF Mission. Marisa Kibble’s selfless dedication truly embodies the spirit of this award and the legacy of the Sisters who serve with the greatest care and love. Established in 1982, the award has recognized exemplary service annually since its first presentation in 1983.
