Dennis Cunningham, MD, MHA, FAAP, has accepted the position of vice president and chief medical officer for OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center.
In this position, Dr. Cunningham is accountable for leading physician operations to achieve Key Results and drive superior clinical outcomes. Together with other leaders, he is responsible for establishing quality standards, developing policies and procedures for the physician staff, and working to grow a culture of compassion while continuously improving patient experience and care.
Dr. Cunningham most recently served as chief medical officer for Ascension SE Wisconsin for the Elmbrook and St. Joseph campuses, and he brings a strong blend of clinical and leadership experience, having served in both direct patient care and leadership roles.
Dr. Cunningham earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and English from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He went on to earn Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and then earned a Master of Health Administration from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
