OSF HealthCare is pleased to welcome Basheer Farooki, MD, a pulmonary and critical care specialist with more than 25 years of experience, to OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center – Peru. In addition to providing intensive care services at the medical center, Dr Farooki will also see patients in the OSF Medical Group – General Surgery clinic at 920 West Street in Peru, expanding access to specialty care for the community.
Dr Farooki earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College and completed his residency at Michael Reese Hospital, followed by fellowships at Swedish Hospital, Finch University, and Chicago Medical School. His extensive background in pulmonary and critical care medicine supports comprehensive, patient-centered treatment across care settings.
