OSF Saint Clare to hold Suicide Prevention Training

11/19/2025

  • Supportive Hands

OSF HealthCare Saint Clare Medical Center will host LivingWorks safeTALK, an internationally recognized suicide prevention training that empowers people to notice and respond with care and confidence when someone may be experiencing thoughts of suicide. The training will take place Tuesday, December 17, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the White Oak Conference Room, located at 530 Park Ave. E. in Princeton.

Designed for anyone 15 and older, safeTALK helps participants build practical skills to recognize signs, start a supportive conversation and connect people experiencing suicidal thoughts with life-saving resources. The program is grounded in hope, compassion and the belief that every person deserves to be heard and supported.

During the session, participants will:

  • Learn how to reach out to someone with thoughts of suicide
  • Help them KeepSafe by connecting them to further support
  • Explore personal and community attitudes and talk openly about suicide

Research shows that LivingWorks safeTALK training increases confidence in asking people about suicide directly, connecting them to life-saving resources and keeping them safe until help takes over.

The training is $35 per participant and registration is required. For more information or to register, visit osfhealthcare.org/calendar or contact Stefanie Morris at (815) 876-2085.
