OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine unveils Center for Health in Sterling

OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center will open its first clinic in Sterling on October 13.

OSF Saint Katharine Center for Health is a primary care clinic that also features specialty services including general surgery and podiatry. 

“One of our priorities is to increase access to care for patients throughout Whiteside County,” says Dawna Menke, regional vice president, Clinical Operations-Western Region for OSF Medical Group. “This beautiful facility offers patients convenience and greater flexibility when it comes to choosing their care.”

The services, days and hours are: 

Podiatry (acute, chronic and surgical foot and ankle conditions, wound and injury care, foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery and diabetic foot care). Gayana Wanniarrachchi DPM, and Nathan Mauren DPM, will see patients Mondays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Fridays, 1-5 p.m. and the first Wednesday of every month, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

General surgery (appendectomies, breast biopsies, colonoscopies, colectomies, diagnostic laparoscopies, gallbladder removal and hernia surgery). David Powers, MD, will see patients on Tuesdays from 1-5 p.m. and Matthew Hefty, MD, will see patients every other Thursday. 

Primary Care (preventive care, acute care for common illness, chronic disease management and immunizations) Marissa Frost APRN, will see patients on Wednesdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
