OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center is excited to welcome the first baby of 2026.
Viviana Sophia Arevalo was born on January 1 in the Family Birthing Center at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center – Peru to proud parents Nancy and Jose Arevalo of Streator. Viviana weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and measured 20 1/2 inches long at birth. She is welcomed home by her big brothers Dominic, age 10 and Damian, age 5.
“Welcoming the first baby of the year is always a special moment for our team,” said Annabel Tomas, obstetrics director at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center – Peru. “It’s a joyful way to begin the year and an honor to support families during such an important milestone.”
