(Alton, IL | Monday, July 16, 2026) OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony’s Health Center is being recognized by the American Heart Association for its ongoing dedication to providing outstanding cardiovascular and stroke care through the Get With The Guidelines® program. The recognition highlights the medical center’s sustained excellence, with two or more consecutive years of meeting rigorous national benchmarks for quality and patient outcomes in heart failure, stroke and resuscitation care.
“For patients and families, this recognition is reassurance that they can count on OSF Saint Anthony’s for high-quality stroke care close to home,” said Traci Bromaghim, director of Emergency Services at OSF Saint Anthony’s. “Our team works every day to meet nationally recognized standards and provide the timely treatment that can make a life-changing difference.”
Stroke is a medical emergency, and recognizing the signs early can save a life. OSFSaint Anthony’s encourages community members to learn the F.A.S.T. warning signs of stroke: face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty, time to call 9-1-1. If you or a loved one experiences any stroke symptoms, don't wait. Call 9-1-1 immediately. Quick action can help reduce disability, improve recovery and ensure patients receive the specialized care they need as quickly as possible.
“Knowing the signs of stroke and acting fast can make all the difference. Earning this recognition demonstrates our ongoing commitment to excellence in stroke care and our ability to provide rapid, evidence-based treatment when every minute matters,” said Brittany Best, BSN, RN, SCRN, stroke navigator at OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony’s Health Center. “Through specialized protocols, teamwork and adherence to nationally recognized guidelines, we help improve outcomes, reduce disability and give patients throughout the Riverbend region the best possible chance for recovery close to home.”
