OSF HealthCare is pleased to add a new advanced practice registered nurse to its staff to better serve Monmouth and the surrounding areas. The addition of Craig Osborn, APRN, on June 22 will ensure increased access for patients in need of primary care at OSF Medical Group, located at 1000 W. Harlem Ave. in Monmouth, Illinois.
Osborn brings a wealth of clinical expertise, leadership, and patient-centered care experience to our organization. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare excellence.
A recognized leader in emergency and stroke care, Craig collaborated with surrounding EMS teams to develop and implement up-to-date stroke care protocols that achieved 100% metric effectiveness. His dedication to quality care has also contributed to the continued achievement of Stroke Ready Certification, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment when it matters most.
Craig’s accomplishments have been widely recognized. He is a GEM Award Winner and has been named a Mercer Foundation for Health Scholar for three consecutive years, reflecting his commitment to professional growth, innovation, and excellence in patient care.
In addition to his advanced clinical training, Craig offers a diverse healthcare background that includes basic splinting skills, minor procedures, weight management, disease prevention, and health promotion. He is passionate about empowering patients to take an active role in their healthcare journey through education, communication, and meaningful engagement.
He received a Bachelor of Science from University of Phoenix and a medical degree from Purdue University Global. He has a master’s in nursing administration and a post master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner.
