DANVILLE, Ill. | October 10, 2026 – OSF HealthCare is pleased to add an experienced general surgeon to its staff to better serve Danville and the surrounding areas.
The addition of Aleksandr Sokolovsky, DO, in September 2026 will ensure increased access for patients in need of general surgery at OSF Medical Group – Surgery in Danville, located at 707 N. Logan Ave., Suite 304, Danville, IL.
Dr. Sokolovsky completed his general surgery residency at St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital in 2001 and earned his medical degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. He brings more than two decades of surgical experience to the Danville community.
He cares for adults who need general surgery, treating a wide range of conditions from routine to complex.
As a general surgeon, Dr. Sokolovsky performs a variety of common procedures, including gallbladder removal, hernia repair, appendectomy and the removal of skin and soft tissue lumps. Whenever possible, he uses minimally invasive techniques that can mean smaller incisions, less pain and a faster return to everyday life.
As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Sokolovsky takes a whole-person approach to care. He works closely with each patient to explain their options, answer questions and build a treatment plan that fits their overall health, from the first consultation through recovery.
