DANVILLE, Ill | October 10, 2026 – OSF HealthCare is pleased to add a new family medicine doctor to its staff to better serve Danville and the surrounding areas.
The addition of Vishwa Patel, MD, in September 2026 will ensure increased access for patients in need of primary care at OSF Medical Group in Danville, located at 707 N. Logan Ave, Suite 104, Danville, IL.
Dr. Patel completed a fellowship for headache medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, her residency at University of Massachusetts: Amherst, and her medical education at St. George University School of Medicine.
She treats people of all ages for family medicine and adults living with chronic headaches or migraines.
As a fellowship-trained headache medicine doctor, Dr. Patel diagnoses and treats a wide range of headache disorders, working with each patient to identify triggers and build a personalized treatment plan that may include lifestyle changes, preventive medications and treatments to stop a headache once it starts.
As a family medicine doctor, Dr. Patel provides comprehensive primary care, including annual wellness visits, preventive screenings, immunizations, care for everyday illnesses and injuries, and ongoing management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Her combined training allows her to look at headaches in the context of a patient's overall health, including sleep, stress, hormones and other medical conditions, so patients can receive coordinated care in one place.
