Community invited to donate essential care items

9/10/2026 - Dixon, Illinois

  • Diapers, shampoo, wipes and pads

Beginning October 1, mothers and families in need will have access to essential baby and personal care items through Blessing Baskets at the OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center OB/GYN Clinic and The Mom Spot at Town Square Centre.

The new initiative is designed to provide support for individuals and families facing financial hardship, unexpected circumstances, or temporary emergencies by offering access to basic necessities at no cost. Available items in the Blessing Baskets will include diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, and other personal care essentials.

To help ensure these resources are available when families need them most, community members and organizations are invited to donate new, unopened items. Donations will be accepted year-round, with the OSF Saint Katharine OB/GYN clinic team hoping to build a strong inventory before the October 1 launch.

Needed items include:

  • Diapers (all sizes)
  • Baby wipes
  • Feminine hygiene pads
  • Underwear
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Deodorant
  • Baby wash

Donations can be dropped off at the OB/GYN Clinic located within OSF Saint Katharine – Commerce Towers, 215 E. 1st St., Dixon, Ste. 215.
