OSF Saint Paul Medical Center to offer free Hands-Only CPR class

10/22/2026 - Mendota, Illinois

When a cardiac emergency happens, every second matters. OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center is offering a free Hands-Only CPR class on Monday, November 16, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Conference Room C to help community members gain the confidence and skills needed to respond in an emergency.

Designed for individuals who want to learn CPR but do not need a job-required CPR eCard, this educational session will teach simple, effective techniques that can help save a life while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.

The class is ideal for new parents, grandparents, babysitters, coaches, community groups and anyone interested in being prepared to help a family member, friend, coworker or neighbor during a cardiac emergency. No prior CPR experience is required.

Hands-Only CPR is easy to learn and can help bystanders take action during the critical moments before emergency responders arrive. Through this class, participants will gain practical knowledge and confidence to respond when it matters most.

The class is free, but registration is required: https://bit.ly/4iewweQ

Individuals who need a CPR eCard for employment purposes should contact Community Education for information about certification courses.
